Anderson, Lloyd and Mary

Morris Moen

9/14/2007

74 min.

The Andersons discuss early years with the Mountaineers, early married life, Lloyd's work at Seattle transit system, Mountaineers Snoqualmie Lodge, Mountaineers climbing course and "revolution," early summer outings (Tetons and Cascades), birth of REI, etc. During the interview, Lloyd refers frequently to his climbing notebook (I believe).

Video quality has deteriorated but still okay. DVD created by Danny Miller from an old VHS tape.

Bauer, Wolf

8/3/1992, 9/21/1992

Morris Moen

9/18/2007

About 2 hours

Wolf Bauer talks about his life. Subjects include skiing in Bavaria, skiing in the U.S., climbing, mountain rescue, kayaking, environmentalism, and a few of Wolf's old photographs. A short addendum (presumedly the 9/21/1992 interview) discusses preservation of the Green River Gorge.

Sound quality good but most of the picture has gone bad, making Wolf look like a fuzzy electronic ghost.

DVD created by Danny Miller from an old VHS tape.
