This page and its subsidiary pages document the film collection as it was known before it was donated by the The Mountaineers to UW. This information was used by Mountaineers History Committee chairman Lowell Skoog to secure initial grants that were used for the film preservation effort. After the films were donated, UW obtained a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to complete the preservation work and create an online finding aid.
