MTR.2025.10 Backpacker Magazine
The Mountaineers have a large (probably complete) collection of Backpacker Magazines from the first issue in Spring 1973 to the last in Fall 2022. The number of issues per year and how they were labeled varied during the life of the magazine. Based on a merger of two extensive collections, it seems that no issue was published in February 1982.
One issue (December 1990) was missing when The Mountaineers bound their collection for that year. Later a copy of that issue was obtained in a donation from Mark Merkens of Oregon. That issue is currently a loose item in the collection (stored in a box with the 2022 issues).
